What’s Fresh Now?
Ramps. Foraged from the wilds of Minnesota. A spring delicacy of wild allium with a tragically short season - as in about 2 weeks. Southerners may remember digging these up in the woods every spring. Pungent and totally roast able.
Red Rhubarb. Pie Time! Bake up a beautiful tart and sweet strawberry rhubarb for spring.
Blueberry pie. Find your thrill. Made here, by Haji, with organic wild blueberries and the same winning lard* crust as the cherry pie. What? You didn’t know about our blue ribbon pie contest at Sweet Action?
Sea of Cortez Shrimp. It’s all wild! Fresh frozen. $11.99 raw, $14.99 cooked. Either buy our freshly boiled shrimp, or take home the frozen, thaw, and marinate in:
Olive oil
Tequila
Honey
Fennel seeds
Lime juice
Hot pepper flakes
Mix it all together, throw them on the grill. It’s good!
* Don’t hate the lard: “After decades of trying, its moment is finally here.”
