The Lab at Belmar Mixed Tastes: USDA Meat Grading with Apparitions of the Virgin Mary
When: Thursday, July 13, 2006, 6:30 - 8:00pm
Where: Belmar Center, 355 Teller St., Lakewood
Cost: $5 lab members, $8 all others.
“The rules of Mixed Taste are simple: There are two speakers. The first speaks for a half hour on one subject (e.g. USDA meat grading). They tag. The second speaker discusses a completely unrelated subject (e.g. apparitions of the Virgin Mary) for the next half hour. Then, there are questions and answers of both at the same time. During the initial talks, the speakers are not allowed to make connections between subjects. During question-and-answer, anything can happen.” Obviously (or perhaps not), Peter Marczyk will be speaking on USDA meat grading.
Summer wear
Marczyk’s added t-shirts to its list of fun foodie items. Black or red shirts, four slogans, choose between:
- meat, yum
- sashimi grade
- free range
- extra virgin
