Attention Mesdames et Messieurs: this is one of the best value wines we have ever seen! 2004 was a fantastic vintage, producing very complex, structured and traditionally styled Bordeaux wines, which was a big relief after the extremely hot ’03 vintage. Because of this immaculate structure, Le Canon ’04 is holding up extremely well and drinking perfectly. It is full of deep rounded fruit, nuances of rustic earth and holding onto its acidity really nicely. This is a wonderful opportunity to drink a serious wine with a little age, and look at this price!

BEVOLIO, PINOT GRIGIO, FRIULI ITALY, 2008

Yay! It’s Pinot Grigio season again. Benvolio comes from Northeastern Italy where the Pinot Grigio varietal thrives in the shadow of the Alps. The cool climate nurtures the grapes to create the distinct acidity we all love. This wine shows a delicate nose with hints of flowers and citrus. On the palate it’s fuller bodied, with a flawlessly balanced acidity and a lingering finish, showing notes of light stone fruit and green apple. This wine is incredible with cured meats, white sauce pastas, and strong cheeses.
