Wine is for Drinking
No, we’re not being cute. The fact is, the majority of the wine bought in the US is consumed the same day, usually with dinner. Marczyk Fine Wines is a shop for how we really drink wine.
Just as Marczyk Fine Foods works to make grocery shopping easy (and tasty), Marczyk Fine Wines wants to make wine buying fun, not intimidating. Our passionate staff will ask all the right questions to get you the best wine for your event, whether it’s a picnic for 2 or dinner for 12. “What style do you like?”, “What’s your budget?”, and the most important one: “What’s on the menu?” You may have to learn to trust our recommendation on a grape you’ve never heard of, or a region you’ve only read about. We don’t use a point system because, as Pete likes to say: “It’s like rating sex. Sure you could, but why would you?”
We depend on a select group of importers to find us delicious wines at killer values…ones with a story to tell. Think back 20 years when buying a $9 bottle of wine meant Blue Nun or worse. Now, really fine wines are being made with value in mind. Trust us, we’ll make you proud to show up at the party with a $10 beauty from Spain!
Don’t let all this talk about small fool you though. Marczyk Fine Wines carries an ever changing selection of over 250 wines, and we taste 3 times that to find ones we know you’ll enjoy.
Westword Newspaper’s Jason Sheenan put it best: “This guy really knows his grapes.”
Pete and his staff attend industry events, like Vin Italy; and the infamous Pinot Camp, a 4-day intensive introduction to the wines of the Northwest. There was no canoeing, and no napping, just tasting many many beautiful Pinots. A year after that he was one of a handful of retailers invited to tour Alto Adige, Italy’s northern-most region. He walked the vineyards, ate in the roadside inns, and chose some wonderful wines to bring home.
Remember, Marczyk Fine Foods and Marczyk Fine Wines is the best place in Denver to pick up dinner and a bottle of wine. One stop shopping at it’s finest!
