An excellent value Pinot Noir. We were immediately drawn to this wine because of its fabulous earthy character and wonderful price point! On the nose it has warm brambly fruit and some exotic herb and mushroom undertones. In the mouth the fruit is a little brighter, accented by notes of deep earth, fresh picked herbs and round, structured tannins. This is a fantastic wine to pair with stronger flavors such as smoked salmon, earthy mushroom dishes, and lamb. Made from 100% Monterey CA fruit with an old world feel.

Masciarelli, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Italy, 2009
A great, easy drinking summer white. Trebbiano, also known as Ugni Blanc in France, it a very commonly planted grape throughout France and Italy, but it can vary dramatically from region to region. This Trebbiano is soft and flavorful with lively notes of green apple, fresh flowers and apricot. It is light and refreshing, a delicious wine for evening cocktails.

Cuvée de Peña, VdP Rouge, 2006
Cuvee de Pena will win you over with its charm. This lovely little Vin de Pays (French country wine) is produced in Pyrénées-Orientales, in the South of France near the border of Spain. Cuvee de Pena is a medium-bodied blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvedre offering aromas of black cherries and light spicy, smoky notes with soft, silky tannins on the palate. Yes, juicy!
