Marczyk’s Market Pick Items
Market Pick Tamales
These tamales are made for us by La Casita, here in Denver, and they are some of the best tamales around. We carry them, six to the package, in our freezer section. Choose from green chile cheese or red chile pork, or just get both and give that decision-making center of your brain the day off.

Market Pick Whole Bean Coffees
Besides the fact that the graphics on our coffee bags — designed by Ellen Bruss Design here in Denver — have won awards, the coffees themselves are roasted and blended at 8,000 feet by Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea, in a burgeoning little ski town called Vail. (Ellen Bruss Design is so good they may have designed the very concept of coffee itself.)

Market Pick Fresh Pastas
Produced for us by Pappardelle's Pasta here in Denver, these delicious raviolis and egg pastas are created using traditional Italian pasta-making methods, utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients and made in small batches. Pappardelle's made pasta for Pope John Paul II when he was here in 1993 (true story!), so, you know, it must be pretty good. Available in our freezer sections and in the adjacent refrigerated cases.

Market Pick Pierogies
Besides being one of the funner words to say (a car called the Pontiac Pierogi would have sold a bajillion), pierogies are a mainstay of Polish cuisine. They're like a little half-dumpling filled with hearty yumminess. Pete Marczyk, a Polish man by trade (and by birth, it turns out), is picky about his pierogies, so when we found a pierogi maker — Pierogies Factory at 38th & Wadsworth — that was both local AND awesome, Pete was properly pleased.
We carry a prepossessing patchwork of five pierogies — Potato & Cheese; Potato & Onion; Sauerkraut & Mushroom; Potato, Jalapeño & Cheddar; Potato & Dill — and at 12 pierogies per package, that's just $.7491666666... (to infinity) per pierogie.

Market Pick Potato Chips
Made for us by Homeslice Chip Co. in Denver, we LOVE these potato chips. Homeslice starts with the best-quality Yukon Gold potatoes because they have the perfect balance of starch and wax. They are thin-sliced and triple-washed to remove the starch, allowing for extra crispiness. They then fry those thin slices in 100% canola oil and remove any excess oil, locking in the crunch.

Market Pick Cold Brew Coffee
Our Solidarity Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is refreshing and noticeably not bitter — many cold brews are scrunch-your-face bitter — and it will provide a much-needed pick-me-up to your workday, your skydiving escapade, and your running with the llamas in Bolivia, all in the same day. Simply pouring it into a glass is an event all its own as you watch the crema form on top — shake the can, pop it open, turn it 100% upside down over your glass, and witness the formation of the crema, one of nature’s greatest spectacles.*
*not really, but it’s pretty cool

Market Pick Bratwursts
We love CharcutNuvo’s products so much, we decided to have them make some bratwursts, sausages and kielbasa that we could put our name on. CharcuNuvo partners with U.S. ranchers who ethically raise their animals on sustainable farms without the use of antibiotics and hormones — they believe that animals should be able to live as naturally as possible, which is why they source grass-fed and frass-finished beef, and they support ranchers who are focused on regenerative agriculture. Artificial ingredients, chemicals, and unnecessary fillers such as sugars are never used.

Our Very Lovely Reusable Shopping Bag
As much as we love Denver, we would prefer to not give Denver a dime for each paper shopping bag we give out. And we would prefer to not charge you the dimes for those bags. Enter stage right: our reusable shopping bag. The colors are lovely, the design is lovely, it holds a lot of lovely yet heavy groceries, and it is a very lovely 99¢ with your Friends & Family discount. Let's act together and eliminate the need for disposable bags.

Market Pick EVOO and Balsamic Vinegars
We tasted a lot of olive oils before we chose this one. Our market-pick Spanish extra virgin olive oil is light and mild and buttery. It's good for cooking, wonderful for marinades, and excellent for simply pouring onto your food — it won't overpower the dishes you're preparing, and it adds a pleasant nutty flavor. The quality of this oil far exceeds the price at which we offer it, AND it's a 750mL bottle.
Produced by Maletti Regnani, our market-pick aged balsamic vinegars are kitchen staples. They are sweet with bright acidity and less dense than many balsamics. Mix some with extra virgin olive oil for an adventure in bread-dipping. Add an itty-bitty bit — a little goes a long way — to meats, ice cream, roasted vegetables, fish, or make your own balsamic dressing. The uses for balsamic are nearly endless. The elegant-looking bottles are worth the price of admission, but the round flavor, velvety consistency, and unique clarity of the balsamic inside the lovely bottles may cause you to pour it on nearly everything.

Market Pick Hand-Cooked Virginia Peanuts
These peanuts come from Hubs, of Virginia. "Virginia Peanuts" is the name and grade for the best out-of-hand peanut there is. They're the largest of all peanuts and a mere 1-2% of Hubs's total production. They're hand-cooked, have no added preservatives, and pop into the mouth lightly salted. Taste the difference. Taste the best.
